Description

The dominant feature of this area is the imposing Sokolia veža, which can be easily spotted from the main road after passing the quarry. Various sectors offer a wide range of climbing challenges - from lines suitable for complete beginners to challenging routes for experienced climbers or even shorter testpieces for boulderers. However, most sectors are subject to time restrictions due to nature conservation, which contributes to the preservation of local flora and fauna.

🧗‍♀️ BOULDROVŇA
The name of the sector indicates the prevalence of shorter, bouldery routes and boulder problems. The sector consists of several boulders scattered in the forest, each of which offers a couple of shorter challenges.

🧗‍♀️ PODSVETIE
The sector offers a diverse range of routes. It contains plenty of new, mainly easier lines, a couple of harder challenges, and even some traditional lines from the 80s. Thanks to its orientation, climbing is also possible on warm summer days with pleasant conditions in the shade.

🧗‍♀️ ŠKOLSKÁ VEŽA
The sector is located right next to the green hiking trail. Its northern section consists of routes that require precise climbing technique, while the southeastern side hosts easier lines with less demanding climbing.

🧗‍♀️ SOKOLIA VEŽA
Quite a rugged sector with solid rock slabs. A paradise especially for those looking for harder lines where good technique is required. Due to nature protection, the area is ideal for climbing during autumn days, but thanks to its orientation it also offers great conditions during sunny winter days.

🧗‍♀️ TISČROČNÁ VEŽA
A smaller wall that only offers four routes, but each one is definitely worth a go. The compact rock slab features interesting holds and requires precise climbing technique. The sector is ideal for autumn climbing, pleasantly basking in the sun’s rays during the morning hours.

History

The development of climbing in this area took some time to unfold. A few cracks were climbed as early as 1983 and 1984, but true growth didn’t begin until the second half of the 1990s.
